Mountain Home Surgery Center: Excellence in Surgical Care

Mountain Home Surgery Center is a Medicare approved facility and has been a state certified ASC (Ambulatory Surgery Center) since 1990. It was the first ASC to serve north central Arkansas and south central Missouri and was the 4th ASC to be built in Arkansas. Mountain Home Surgery Center is a multi-specialty facility offering ophthalmology and orthopaedic surgery.

Kenneth A. Jones, M.D. and William D. Hill, M.D. perform procedures including: no-stitch cataract surgery, premium intraocular lenses, glaucoma procedures, oculoplastic surgery, laser procedures, and CustomVue LASIK. Over 18,000 cataract surgeries have been performed in our surgery center.

Thomas E. Knox, M.D., of Knox Orthopaedics performs state of the art orthopaedic procedures at Mountain Home Surgery Center. The orthopaedic surgery suite is equipped with the latest and most modern arthroscopy and orthopaedic surgery equipment in the region, Dr Knox performs procedures including shoulder surgery, rotator cuff repair, arthroscopy of the knee and shoulder, and carpal tunnel repair to name a few. Dr Knox has a history of excellence in orthopaedic care in Missouri and Arkansas since 1983.

Michael Mittermeyer, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, has decades of experience providing local and general anesthesia services. Mike came to Mountain Home Surgery Center in 2008 from the Barnes Hospital system in St Louis, Missouri. He provides anesthesia services for ophthalmology, orthopaedics, and does epidural blocks for pain management.
